Semi-key date Barber dime!

Congrats on a fantastic find ! :beers:

Congrats on your awesome finds! And they're in beautiful shape!!! I started detecting almost a year ago and told myself "I wouldn't be a real detectorist until I found a mercury dime". Well after 6 months of hunting constantly with my AT Pro then 2 more months hunting with my new detector (ctx) I finally found my first silver coin, a 1942 Washington quarter in beautiful shape, but no Merc, the Merc came 2 days later, a 1928 in beautiful condition, I was so amazed at its condition because I bought 2 Mercs in hopes that they would bring me luck I guess LOL and the one I found was in FAR superior condition than the ones I bought!

I'ge never been superstitious, but after working & hunting so long for silver coin I was ready to try anything. After 11 months I'm up to 13 silver coins now, I retired before I took up this hobby so I put in many many hours for those silvers! Sorry for rambling on about it but your excitement over your finds brought back the magic of the moment for me! I was far more excited & happy over my merc than I was over the 10k gold ring I found before them! I hope many more are there waiting for you! My oldest Coin was the 1916 s (dang!) I found and thought if only it was a barber! LoL

A 1916s Merc was found by a fellow club member today but not much else. The new tear out was a bust. It was dug out a foot deep and backfilled with sand when they poured the old sidewalk.

wow thats so cool. barbers are my favorite coins. i just got my first barber of the year this week on a sidewalk strip. 1908 O
