Hi all, I was just wondering does anybody sharpen there digging tool? My lesche seems like it could use a touching up. It has got dull and does not cut like it use too. If so what do you use or where do you take it to have it done? Thanks all and HH.

YES
I'm lucky, we have a friend who takes our lesche and shovels and sharpens them for us
Someone I know also sharpens his digging tools himself does it with a grinder
If it helps, any tool used for cutting gets dull and requires periodic sharpening
Good Luck

Yes - I always keep the point very sharp - I hunted all last winter and the sharper than factory point made it a lot easier to get through the frozen ground.
But you have to be extra careful and dig wide - the sharper tip will easily damage a good find !

After I clean my blade I spray a thin coat of PAM cooking spray on it before I put it away.

It keeps it slick and protects the metal from oxidation.
