Silver 63 rosie, 51 wheat, and another JFK half.

First silver coin for the year for me, fourth JFK half! Heres the story, It was pouring rain early, so I hit the entrance to a school where the busses drop off the kids, it has a nice overhang, so I figured I could duck up under and dodge out between squalls. That worked pretty good and I just swept up surface clad.
Then I went over to another school when the rain looked like it was stopped for good, and hit the football field...I've got silver dimes and one Q along with 3 buff nickles outta here before, so I actually set the machine up like you are SUPPOSED to, Ground balanced, ran the sens up to the high 70's, still stable and easy, trouble is, the depth of the silver is beyond the reach of my screwdriver, so a fellow has to be very concise with a knife for the sod, and then go in with the screwdriver to locate. Luckily, the field is mowed, but not active, and the school is only used for head start or something, so I suppose a guy could dig a hole, I just havn't wanted to up til now. I'll take some of you deep silver seekers to this spot someday. 80 coins, 7.78 total.

:unsure:Side note: article in the local news this am, about a policeman 10 years younger than me who died from a strange high fever Friday night. I'm still burning up and lungs are full of butter, if a guy lays down, it gets worse..other than that, What a Great day!

NICE!

Use a Lesche and cut a plug. That way you dont dig a hole. So much neater. If you are using a trowel you are going to make a mess.
Screwdrivers and pinpointers work good to about 3" for me.

Good on the silver and other finds. Mud, have you been to a Dr.? What you describe doesn't sound like anything to mess with and has been hanging on to long. So sayth Dr. Jim HH jim tn

nice finds mud. i agree with Jim go see a doctor.keep moving and stay focused...that always brings positive results. HH ...TIM

Thanks fellas! Coilfisher, Thanks! next time I hit a deep signal, I'll dig it up for you! I'm feeling lots better guys, I dont know what a doctor could do for something like this...I've tried to stay up and keep my lungs clear and flushed out, spent two nights in the bathroom in and out of the shower steaming and coughing up lung, freezing, sweating, after two days of that my back, stomach muscles, and ribs hurt so bad from the coughing, the sweat is drenching kind of deal, completely soaks a pillow case or tee shirt. So...it was just stay up and hydrated, grab a little shut eye, keep a business running, and try to out last it. I'm not sure I woulda survived it without being in this tip top shape metal detecting has given me.

Mud I hope you get to feeling better. If your chest don't clear up in a couple of days you may need to see a Dr. I never seen a sick water-dog so just get better. :drinking:

Nice going Mud. Already silver this year. Maybe one stellar year for you? Keep up the good work. When I was a kid my Ma would put goose grease on our chests. (2 brothers) That seemed to take care of just about everything that came our way to do with sickness. Of course you could always try Castro oil that was for everything..... YUK!!!! Nice detecting Mud stay well.... Z
