Silver, wheat, pendant, and something else??

Ohio Digger

Finally got back out for a few hours yesterday. Tried a section of the park I hadn't tried before. Not the oldest section by far but from aerials looks like it's been around since the 1950's and it's right near the creek. Only swung for about 30 minutes before the rain came down (even though it wasn't forecasted!!). I managed to pull a '44 wheat and the very last target at this location was a '47 Rosie. I dug that as I heard the raindrops hitting the trees in the woods and headed my way. I had also found the badge looking thing. The back says "Penna Retail Hardware Assn" 13th annual convention. The front says Philadelphia and has the date 1914. Any idea what it is?? I packed up from there and went to get my haircut to let things dry up. After my haircut I stopped at an large old abandoned school that was built in 1914 and has had additions to it thereafter. I saw on the news last week that the property had been sold to a retail chain and it will be demolished soon. Hit the football field in the back but the grass was so high I couldn't get close to the ground but managed to get the religious pendant. Nothing fancy. I left there and while driving noticed a guy cutting the grass at a vacant rundown home. I pulled in and asked permission. It was built in 1936 so not terribly old but has potential. He said go ahead and come back whenever I wanted. I only managed a wheat penny while there - another '44 (my 2nd for the day).

Those are the kinds of hunts I like. You get a good variety of finds including some silver. Hey, how do you get your pics to line up in columns like that?

Thanks. I don't do anything with them to line them up. I take the pictures with my Iphone, then email them to myself, then save them to my computer. If I don't open and rotate each picture, then resave them, they will post on here sideways for some reason. Maybe because of the tall rectangular shape of the pic it automatically lines them up in columns??

Interesting. Most pics I see, mine included, are stacked one on top of the other. I'd like to be able to show them like yours are. Maybe, I'll have to do some experimenting.

Great finds !
Yes ... looks like a Watch Fob to me too.

I agree with Goes, on the watch fob, maybe on a necklace though for a Sororiety! Great pictures and neat finds. Thanks for sharing.
