How is everyone doing?? I have had no shutdowns but had one lock-up where I had to pull the battery. .I was recording a geo hunt and editing a mode, screen locked up on the do you want to save changes screen... wildherre

I have had NO problems with shutdowns or Xchange2 since the updates.

I have had no problems since the update. Even have my headphones working in the detector with mono plug. Not even sure the update did that I had done many things during that same period. I thing a factory reboot and update was done in the same breath!

Yes recommended for all machines. You should always keep it up to date as there may be other tweeks in the update.

thank you sir !!!

I would definitely do all the updates as they come along. Think of it this way, say you opt out of the first few updates and then an update comes along that looks really useful to you and you gotta have it. That update may depend entirely on having done the previous updates first. I learned this lesson from Microsoft Windows updates on their various operating systems. One windows XP update took care of some serious security issues, but it wouldn't take. I had to apply all the previous updates first, which took forever.

I have one coming Friday,Do these later models have the updates? And is there a way to tell? Thanks.

yes. When you connect to Xchange2 and turn the machine on, if an update is needed , you will get an yellow ! mark on the top of the Xchange 2 screen. If the machine is up to date, no update notice will be displayed.

Welcome to the ctx 3030 community and good luck with your new machine
