Went out Wednesday night for a short hunt we had a little rain so it cooled it down from the mid 90's down to the high 80's! It would have to be a short hunt though since the rain also brought out the little gnats and they were swarming as you ran the coil through the grass. I went to a park that I have not hunted before but I surely will be back my first good signal produce a hole in which three wheaties were found, I found 3 more in rapid succession and then it sorta fell off until I got a good signal that read 15-46 one way and 14-47 the other way. So I dug it and at about 7 inches I saw standing on edge a big silver rim! Out came a 1940 Walking Liberty Half! My first half ever and a silver to boot!

Very nice! Congratulations! I'll take a "short" hunt like that any day. After finding the half, I'm guessing the gnats probably became a bit more tolerable. Thanks for sharing.
