OhioCoinHunter said:I found an 1894-O Barber dime in April 2010 while hunting a grass lot where a school once stood. I didn't realize it was a key date when I found it. However I thought it was cool because it was from the 1800's and it had the New Orleans mint mark. I got excited when I got home and looked it up in a coin prices magazine and discovered it was rare. You just never know what you're going to unearth...as many here can attest to. I am privileged to know two fellow Ohio detectorists who have found 1916-D Mercury dimes- Terry Barnhart (Goes4ever) - who we all know very well - and Mike Haer (Buckeyedigger). I've also had the honor of meeting and detecting with both of these men. They are top notch guys and dedicated, enthusiastic detectorists. Yup, there is still treasure out there waiting to be found.

Happy Hunting,

Very nice. Now, if it has an "S" on the back, you could add some significant dollars to the retirement fund.
