Some Relic readings

Sweet! Like some others, it would be awesome if the list was in an excel spreadsheet! Any chance? You could upload it here! :clapping:

Minelab should have this in the manuals. Thanks very much. Just got an Etrac and that was one thing I didn't quite have a handle on....

Kind Regards, Ken

Does anybody have that type data for the Xterras 305?

I tried to copy/paste to Excel but it puts everything in 1 column. Could someone post a copy or send me a copy? Thanks!

This works great for scanning in air, but as we know everthing changes in the ground. i placed two rusty nails about eight inches apart in line with eachother, and adjusted iron mask just to the point where they would null out. then i placed a silver merc in between them. clear, definite silver response audio, but the numbers read 26-32 Fe, 45-46 Co. never once did it register even close to eleven or twelve Fe. How many coins have been passed up because I, we trusted the Fe numbers thinking it was just high conductive iron? then i adjusted iron mask from 33 to 27 and it nocked out the coin altogether. I am rethinking the way i use disc patterns and will be digging a lot more junk. Does the explorers also have this problem or do they actually offer TRUE discrimination? DEAN

That's fascinating, cheers, Dean. I presume some bit of iron (or relic for relic hunters ;o)) could come out as the same FECO number, say 31:46?

Can iron have a high CO number?

I will have to disc change my FE line to 33 now

Does gold also get equally affected or does it stay near enough to the 12 line?

Thanks for taking the time to compose such a huge list of ID numbers.
I presently use the SE, still learning ................

That settles it, you have to dig about everything in order to not miss any goodies.

I don't have either detector .. just want to say thanks for compiling the info... should help a lot of other hobbyist..

I found a .69 cal. Gardner dropped bullet yesterday that read 31-31 on my Explorer SE. Do you have a relic chart of VDI's for the Explorer?

But remember most early coins are found in areas that don't hold as much modern trash.

I really hate that some of the best coins fall in the low 20s and high 30s... but that's the way it is. I love this detector!

Hey everyone. Been gone a while but back again. On the etrac are you using TTF on this current setup? I realize a lot of guys do but wasn't sure. I mainly relic hunt and have noticed that in relic mode that is standard on etrac I was missing some things and it got real frustrating but is this the setup yall use?
