Sometimes Low Conductive Numbers are not foil or pull tab pieces :-)

Hello all!

Been 10+ days since I've been out digging... Work, travel, holiday, family get togethers.... Life in general :)

Friday 5:30 - Hot and Humid, but I needed to get a fix :) and I headed to a park I've been working...

There is a corner of this park that has been producing, but there is a layer of screw caps, pull tabs, and junk! This park is not one that you would generally hand out at night unless you were dealing or selling your body... so the stuff you would expect is there... The park dates back to the mid to late 1800's. I've dug 3 Indians, 1 1892 V, and an 1856 Seated Liberty Quarter here... 10-20 wheaties as well... So in this corner I decided to dig every rough and repeatable signal... that being said...I was digging all ther 12/29's 12/22's, 12/ANYTHINGS! :) Then comes along.... 12/05 @ 1"... I figured is was foil or small piece of metal...

But was suprised with my 1st gold ring for 2010 (14K)

Next keeper I could not pinpoint to save my life... 12/22 @ 6"... and it was perfect before my digger got it :-(

I got in about 90 minutes... 5 wheaties with the oldies being 1913...

Great haul! Look at that gold. Awesome! Wish I could find some. :) Congrats.

that ring is super cool, what is on the outside? looks green, jade? and that button is neat, any idea how old it is?

Nice work Paul! Thanks for the story and the picture! Congratulations on the ring and the rest of the finds!

A lot of gold will produce numbers at 12-05,06,07,08,09. I found a size 13 10k yellow gold ring on the beach and I think it was a solid 12-27.

Nice ring thanks for sharing.

I have got to say thanks for the post. I was out today and remember what you were saying about low numbers not always being foil. I had a target that was 12-2 but it sounds a little different than foil so I dug it, turned out to be a nice little 10K black hills gold ring that barely fits the wife's little finger. She said that she would wear this one, normally she doesn't like used jewelry, has to be fresh.

Nice stuff Paul - and thanks for the tip on the 12-05 !

Cool ring Paul. The stone in the middle looks like the Conamara (connemara) Marble I was telling you about. That is pretty sweet. I have a funny story to tell you.
