I went back to the place I dug those seated dimes and Barber quarter yesterday. Found two more IH cents right off the bat. Followed by a silver Washington quarter, a silver Rosey and two early teen Wheats. Hoped to find more old silver, but that was not the case. But Indians are Indians and silver is silver. Oh, and a lot of trash.........Which brings up another subject that I think gets overlooked sometimes......... I can't speak for the others, but when I hunt for coins at old farmsites or homesteads, I dig a lot of trash as well. All of the items in this photo registered as a "diggable" target. And all were dug the past couple hunts. By diggable, I mean with a ferrous number between 11 and 13, and a conductive number that represented something that needed to be dug! In other words, one that would have kept me awake at night, if I hadn't dug it.
Again, I won't speak for others. But when I post up a pic of some nice old coins, that ain't half the story. For every old IH cent or silver coin I bring home, I also carry out a couple dozen pieces of trash. HH Randy
