Speaking of pictures.......

Doug's (DK) post about how to post a picture got me to thinking. I've seen pictures of many of you here on the forum in pictures you have posted or your avatars, but I think it'd be great to see pictures of EVERYONE!!! Makes it real nice to be able to put a face with a name and a post. How about everyone posting a picture of themselves? I'm also wondering what the average age is for the members here. If you don't mind telling your age (I know some people don't like to tell how old they are), then include that too. Tell us what you do for a living - or used to do. I'll go first in hopes of getting y'all to participate.

This is me - Lisa (in Alabama) TreasureDigger. 45 years old. High school social studies/history teacher (taking a leave of absence right now) - Instructor for the ATV Safety Institute - and auditor & front desk associate at Holiday Inn Express. Wife to Tim for 25 1/2 years, mother of two grown children, Jason & Julie....... and momma to Sadie the cat, and Millie, Sophie & Kia, our three Siberian Huskies. And of course, a TreasureDigger! Couldn't decide which picture to attach, so I'll send one with the hair up, and one with the hair down. Hair up picture was taken in my den, and the hair down picture was taken at my parents house.

Lisa

We have six wonderful children. Justin is 20 and is living on his own in Boise. Jeffrey is 12 and started his first year in Junior High. He likes baseball, reading, drawing his own cartoons and riding bikes. He is also into riding ATV's and Dirt Bikes. Kortney is 9 (going on 19) and goes to Payette Primary. She loves reading, writing, drawing, playing baseball and basketball. She also likes to dress up and play with her dolls and play with her friends. She likes to ride ATV's. She is going to be the Death of me :) Jonathan is 6 and loves to play at home with his brother and sister. He likes to watch movies and play games on the computer. He is in 1st grade at Payette Primary. He also loves to go swimming and riding his bike. My daughter Jeannine (from my 1st marriage) is 26 and has given us three wonderful grandsons Kaleb (3), Kyran (2) and Khrystopher(1). Hi Lisa, I don't have an updated pic at this time and my pics are always too large to upload on the forum....but will try Mike's post to DK and see if it works for me. I will post the info about me, even if I don't have a pic....if you are interested in an old grandma and great-grandma???

God Bless! Betty

I'm interested in EVERYBODY! I love people in general and enjoy learning all about them and getting to know them! Of course I'm interested! And wisdom comes with age (or at least for most people), so anything you have to say would be of interest to ME, whether it be your personal information, or your wisdom. Feel free to share it all.

Mike in Mi and Steve in AZ have posted my pic before. I'm 64, retired from the ATSF RR. Metal detecting and riding my Harley keeps me young.. :)

I right click the pic and click on EDIT. that takes me to paint then i go to STRETCH SKEW click on that and then downsize the pic from there. then save it. i am sure there may be an easier way but like i said. i do everything the hard way. lol

We are by the outer sponson of the "Spruce Goose" built by Howard Hughes in Mc minville, Oregon in 2008. We were married June 28th 2005 and are both retired. Barb was an office manager and I retired from the Olympia-Pabst-Miller Brewing Company, there were a lot of changes of ownership over the 27 years I worked for the company.

Since I retired, I worked as a tour guide in Sedona, Arizona, Machine operator in Stevensville,Montana and a long haul trucker for Covenant Transport. I took me 6 years to learn HOW to retire.

We enjoy RVing with our 5th Wheel and look forward to travelling this summer with our BoyZ, a couple of Schipperkes (they are with me in my avatar). I enjoy metal detecting, fishing to eat one, hunting, photography, warm (not hot) weather, and ALL other aspects of life in general. We will be headed South next year and wandering around to who knows where, so if you are in the southwest and would like to meet some newbie Snowbirds PM me and we'll go from there.

[attachment 117904 carriagerideinIndy.jpg]Well hope this works out. This is a picture of Joan and I on her birthday. I took her to Indianapolis for a carriage ride and dinner(and all the ladies said..........). Anyway my name is Doug Keller. I am 51 years old, and will be 52 on Feburary 25. Joan is********and her birthday is September 28. Somehow I couldn't print her age. Must be this new computer. We have been married for 10 years, this past January 8. We met in our former church. We have both been married before. Joan has a son, Charles, who is 39. I have two sons, Andy (29) and Ryan (25). Joan has one grandson, and I have 4 grandchildren. Joan is now a stay at home wife, which I fully support. I am employed by the local school corporation in the maintainence department. I was a welder most of my life, starting out in the Navy. Due to the damage welding was causing my lungs and eyes, I gave up that line of work. Joan and I have 3 pets who rule over us. Midnight the cat, Cindy, who is a Brendle mix collie type dog, who we rescued from the local humane society, and Otis the pug dog. Now Otis is some character!

Hobbies include woodworking, nascar--until near the end of the season, metal detecting(which I am a newbie so to speak) oil painting, coin collecting, anything that gets me outdoors. Joan and I enjoy auctions and yard sales, fishing, collecting this and that. I have a good collection of coins, oil lamps and a growing collection of Christian books, and History books. I love history. Joan loves to collect candles, angels( I ain't one of them either), and cookbooks. Joan and I are soul mates. I thank God every day that he brought us together. We have so much in common. We both serve in our church. Joan is in the choir and we both lead an adult Sunday School class. I also help oversee the Transportantion Ministry, where Joan serves also.

Thanks Lisa....for your kind words! I will try to give info about me, when I get a pic uploaded and posted! Remember, grandma is slow but she's old! Turned colder here in MO and I am feeling it today, even with the thermostat telling the furnace to warm us up! Cliff, my brother and I can't stand the cold or the hot, humid weather at all....wish it would stay at a comfortable temp of the 60's, 70's or 80's all the time! :) God Bless! Betty

Are you still having trouble resizing your photos? Try Mike from MI way as he described in my post about posting pictures. It works quite well, but I haven't tried dobbies suggestion yet, but I will the next time I put a pic on.
Hope you can figure it out. Your posts and prayers are always an inspiration each time I read one.

I want to stop over on the weekend of the 13th and 14th of June there in Payette. We are working on finding a good route back up north and not retrace our route. I was thinking of hitting 84 eastbound and turn north through Salmon, Idaho and then over Lost Trail Pass toward home.

Any good ideas that are reasonable that early in the summer? We do fine in the mountains, but I'm very cautious over ice packed passes. I can do without them.

Do you know of any others on our forum up here in the northwest? I would like to meet everyone but I don't know if you have enough beds?:rofl: Just joking, we have a nice LITTLE 5th wheel just right for the four of us and we have a campground in mind for when we get there.
