:super:She was big...sitting at the cabin site...and well hidden:surprised:

Glad to see the big coil works well.I am more impressed with the 12 x 15 every time out.By the way I found the twin to your 1853 less the hole earlier this winter and I still remember what a rush it was ,Ray.

Hi Bryce,

Thanks for the mini-review and congrats on that Seated! I have the 12x15 mounted up and took it out to the local fairgrounds for just a quick test hunt a couple days ago. The fairgrounds guys always stop by and say hello, this time it was like they couldn't take their eyes off of my coil, they must have been a little freaked out by how out of proportion it looks on the detector. :yikes: I can just imagine what the 15x18 is going to look like, I am getting it for the beach so I can cover a little more sand. I was very impressed in that short time with the speration of coins around the ferrous targets. I did a few A/B comparisons with the Pro Coil, it's a little early to say much but I can already say without a doubt, better seperation. I will eventually do a test like you did with the target markers and video it all. These SEF Coils are the real deal. I just bought the 10x12 this week, got the 12x15 last week and looking to get a 15x18 next week.

I feel like I was getting a little better pinpointing with the SEF as well, how about you?

Cheers, Mark :minelab:

respond to each and every one of you to give a personal thank you...but I would end up filling up the whole page:bouncy::thumbup:...and it would get on some people's nerves:smoke:

Just know I appreciate all the responses. It just shows the great comradery we have here on the forum.

All I done was swab the date with a wet cotton swab to make out the last 8 clearer. It ate off everything except the last number 8:confused:
Sounds like what you said happend to yeti's eagle too. He and I aint got much luck with birds I guess.
I still cant believe that quarter was under the iron piece but I seen it with my own eyes.
I seen the look on your face after 2 hours with the big sef coil...you wanted that bungee swinging thing bout as bad as I wanted lunch.:crylol:
I'm going to be on the road again so the etrac will be yours for a few weeks if you want to keep it.

I'll probably take you up on that offer D. Swing by on your way out of town.

I told you not to mess with that coin bro. Yeti screwed his up by just spitting on it.

I knew it wasn't a 9 I saw on the date:crylol:...but I didn't have my glasses on.

So you can't even make out a date at all now?

I can't believe a q-tip with a dab of water would mess it up like that. I'm not cleaning any injun's at all anymore.

Have a safe trip D

-Bryce

EVERYTHING with the 10 x 12 SEF. It is what it is for me...my settings...and my sites...1) better separation...2) crisper sounds....3) better in iron...4) seems to be better depth...5) rarely dig ghost holes...6) dead on pinpointing.

No way I'm doing any side by side comparisons with this big 15 x 18 horse though...otherwise my shoulder and I would not be on speaking terms:bouncy:

I don't need to...because after only one hunt it has completely proven itself to me for open areas....deep coins in iron...and stability.

As for trash infested parks...I wouldn't be foolish enough to expect an 18" coil to work miracles and separate like my 5" Sunray or 6" Excellerator.

I have not had the pleasure of using the 12 x 15...but I have the 15" WOT and love it too.

After using the 15 x 18 at my most productive yet POUNDED site...It is a WINNER.

I have learned so much over the last year while field testing different coils.

I learned the Sunray coils are absolute KILLERS...ALL of them. Probably no big surprise to many...because Sunray coils are pretty popular already. For me though...I learned so much and what different coils are actually capable of...and more importantly...WHY they are capable of it.
The results of of my testng for Sunray will be in 2 different Western & Eastern Treasures magazine issues in a couple of months.

I also learned that the SEF coils have opened up new doors for MANY hunters. I had the pleasure of using and testing the 10 x 12 SEF before it became readily available here in the U.S.
What I found was a whole new world of deep coins that I had been previously unable to touch because they were either too deep...hidden in trash..hidden in iron...deep and on edge...etc
The 10 x 12 SEF amazed me and I tried to let others know about it.

EVERY one of my hunting buddies went out and bought that coil...NOT because I told them too...but because they SAW what this coil did...and WATCHED and HELPED me dig the hole and pop out the coins.

I NEVER tell anyone to go out and buy a coil...but if I am asked...I will sure as heck give them an honest, and unbiased opinion on what produces for me.

That's what happened with the 10 x 12 SEF coil. A couple of years ago I started finding stuff...nice stuff...and quite a bit of it. I then posted and let others know what the 10 x 12 was doing for me. Before long...lots of people were using it...and now...well...the 10 x 12 SEF coil is one of the most popular coils available...and for very good reason.

I can't wait to use this big dog 15 x 18 again in the future. I have 4 or 5 sites that are pretty open and have deep coins still hiding...I'm sure.

What amazed me the most about this monster 15 x 18 was the ability to remain VERY sensitive to coin sized targets. Just incredible

The hole means nothing Bryce. That coin has some history to it and a lot of class.
You always amaze me with what your able to do with the SE. Keep up the good work.
Keep me informed on how you like the E-Trac when you use it. From what I can tell in your previous posts you like it.
Wonder how that big 18" sef coil would do here on the beach?????

Nice digs :yo:KING:yo:, some more coinage to add to your crown:smoke:...

If you have the opportunity, maybe someday you could compare the signals with the WOT coil & see if there is any difference between that & the SEF 15 X 18..
