The Elusive Seated Quarter

With the temps at 65 degrees, I took off of work to take advantage of the balmy weather. I had four new places to try out, & they did not pan out, so I decided to head out to a park which I frequent just to come back with something in my pocket. This park has been pounded by many a detector, & for the first 2 hours, all I had was a few dollars in clad coins. The last hour I start to head back towards the car taking really big sweeps. All of a sudden this sweet sound came on my detector, when I glanced at the screen, 13-46 was flashing at 8 inches deep. I knew I had deep silver, & I am kicking myself for not bringing my new video camera. I did not know what is was until I got home, & I was happy to find out that I had my first seated quarter.

A lot of nice detail too.... nice find.

SWEET! It has arrows on the front. Way to go Don

How can you wait soooooo long to find out what you got?!

Holy cow Don, that is a beautiful old seated quarter - and the first one in a while that's not an 1876! Nice

I didn't want it to affect the rest of my hunt as I wanted to take advantage of the little daylight remaining. It was very tempting to rub it.
