THE REPORTS ARE IN - THE AT PRO IS THE MOST AWESOME DETECTOR EVER BUILT...

the way i see it Garrett keeps there word just look at the ace and pro-pointer.even if it works half as good as they say i think i will try one and use my gti 2500 for backup.

The Garrett Pro Pointer is awesome. In a couple of months we'll be able to read between the lines when the real people post about the AT.

If it is like a modified gold stinger... being waterproof and lighter... That will be great to me....I got one on order..

McDave, you're selling your amp? I really can't blame you...I have a Gibson Les Paul Custom and Marshall half stack that I'm really considering selling. Be nice to pay some bills and get the AT Pro. My wife tells me I will regret selling that guitar...but it sounds like I certainly won't regret getting an AT Pro!:yo:

Sell a Les Paul.... dont do it kind sir :).... Heck in a couple months you should start seeing a couple show up on the classified forum for less . It happens that way with any brand new Detector. It is what it is.
The problem with them showing up for sale is that the owner has screwed it up somehow and it has to be sent in for repairs.

It's far beyond a modified Stinger. This is the detector we have been waiting for and hoping someone would produce some day.

Me too. We're way past due for a machine like this that you can hunt anywhere with. If it's only half as good I'll be happy.

In the video Vaughn Garrett says in the normal mode the AT PRO operates just like an ace 250. I just don't see anything too exciting about the AT PRO that is different or earth shattering. I doubt it will make all other detectors obsolete either. Time will tell whether it will perform like they say it will.

He meant only sound wise and says that directly. There is a huge difference between the 2 detectors. What video are you watching  The ace can pick up a good target under hot rocks and under iron? The 250 can pick up gold 2' down and small pebbles at 5"+

The Ace can go under water and has a manual GB? The ace has iron audio? I do not know what world you living in but this detector ESPECIALLY at this price is unreal. The Engineer in the last 3 episodes says it acts like the 250 sound wise in STD mode for newcomers but goes substantially deeper.

Haters gonna hate I guess.

the standard mode was made for people who just want ease of operation or a turn on and go machine. what sets it apart from everything out there, is the pro mode for advanced users. If that's not exciting you might want to check your pulse to see if your still alive lol

I do not think there is much doubt the new
Garrett AT Pro is a good machine and will become popular.
I saw the videos and was mildly impressed.
I would like to hear from some of the pure coin shooters out there
who now use Garrett GTI series machines whether they
are going to give up their graphic imaging for an
AT Pro.

No, not giving up the imaging, just adding a gold detector, a relic detector and a water detector to my arsensal all for about $600. Umm, that figures out to about $200 each! Sounds like a bargain to me! Hey gettin' a deal like that makes me think I could also get a ProPointer.

Once you get the AT you can find some gold, sell it and buy a nice R-8 and there are always plenty of Marshalls around...

hour long Garrett Video last night and it is impressive. If it works in the field the way it worked in the lab it will be an awesome machine. I really liked the way it could ID a bottle cap in the Pro Audio Mode! Hopefully there will be some more videos soon and maybe one on a Saltwater Beach showing how it works in the wet sand and shallow surf.

Apparently you didn't watch it in the Pro mode. It has one mode for novices and one mode for professionals.

Bill

Not different you must have missed a lot if you do not see all that the AT Pro has... it has more in it than any other detector ever built...... It has things in it other detector companys never thought about putting in one detector.........It has every thing in one detector you have never seen that before.............. Don't sleep during the video watch it.........
