THE REPORTS ARE IN - THE AT PRO IS THE MOST AWESOME DETECTOR EVER BUILT...

Is this Disneyland or a forum?

He said if your hunting the beach you can take it into the surf. Then after that he mentions you can hunt fresh water lakes. So why would he even say the first thing? It is clear to me he means salt and fresh otherwise he would have simply said - you can go from the beach to the water.

LOL Guys you are all getting bent way out of shape!!! I can see someone being put off if you fear that the $1,200 or more machine you just bought is someway going to be inferior to a $600 machine but do you really think that is gonna be the case? I am new to this forum and new to the latest equipment and 20 years removed from the hobby until recently getting back into it. I have been so overwhelmed by all the new equipment of all manufactures and it is extremely difficult to read through all the hype of all the different brands and all the hype of the brand loyalist to determine what kind of machine I really want to suit my purpose but this thread is confusing! I've seen the same videos that everyone else here has seen and have my AT Pro on pre-order and if it doesn't suit me, I will sell it and get something else. But making up things that are pure speculation isn't fair to the folks that look up to all you "veterans" for advice. Some folks are just not representing the hobby very well about this issue.....and I'm not talking about just this forum or this website. Every forum and site is so involved in speculation and in-fighting about this new, latest greatest.....so what if it doesn't do what you wanted it to do? So what if its the biggest disappointment ever? The company will pay the price if its a bad product and the competition will pay the price if its the best thing since sliced bread. Let's just wait and see what happens and hope that everyone will give honest and fair reviews about it and go from there. I'm really concerned that so many people have said so many things that nobody will give honest reviews about it because they're gonna have to "eat crow" It's gonna be, what it's gonna be and hopefully it will live up to the claims made by Garrett on their videos introducing the product but there is no way that it can live up to the hype that has been placed on it!!! It is a disappointment day one!!! Just my opinion

TellYaWhut

It was moved here because it's taking up too much room on the main Garrett forum. With this many post, it interrupts the viewing of other subjects on the Garrett forum. Someone wants to ask a question about say a Ace 350, and before one can respond, the post is buried way down the list. All this from a detector that has yet to be manufactured.

I had other options: Block any further posting to this thread, or delete the whole post.

sflblack. Alright, I can understand that. This Thread was started by praising a product to which the only info we have is via its own manufacturer. There were some tough questions asked .......many questions only answered when the AT-Pro is released. Great Thread. Thanks for responding.

this is great cant wait to get one, this is what i have been waiting for a very long time and another great part is they are made in USA, the brand i have been using for the past 10 yrs is now being made in malaysia might as well say china, which i no longer use that brand so i am very excited about the new garret and i can even go in the water without buying a water machine also, one machine does it all.

will have to change my user name soon

Here is a link to the video's on youtube and yes it can do all of what you asked and more...

Looks pretty impressive to me :surprised:

the only thing i find is like a lot of others im sure not all bottlecaps are goingto be flat and when he said no more digging bottlecaps that would be nice but im sure some of the caps are going to fool the at pro. non the less i think the at pro is going to be one great mahcine and for the price its going to be hard to beat. if i can sell one of my machines i may give it a try but its going to be hard for me to stay away from my mark 1. for a machine thats 25 years old the tones are still the best in the business and going ultra slow it seperates like nobodys business.

I think its going to be pretty tough to find another
detector that will do what the AT Pro can do for the money.

or ...should I say

some of the more expensive dectors don't have some of the
features that the AT Pro has.

so ....here;s the slogan for the AT Pro,

"Spend less and get more" !

I've never even used a Garrett detector but I'm excited to see what this machine really does. Can't wait for some reviews & videos. I HAVE used the Garrett ProPointer and from the quality and performance of that little gem I believe Garrett is capable of producing a machine that approaches or meets their intentions/claims with the AT Pro. I hope they do...

Uncle Willy said:
Today Garrett engineers put on a demonstration with the AT for the distributors and blew their minds. This detector will do things that ain't been invented yet. It goes twice as deep as a 250 - will separate coins from bottlecaps, pulltabs, hot rocks - will detect flakes of gold. One can place a dime under a rusty nail, hot rock, or other junk and the AT will hit the dime and ignore the junk. It is 100% waterproof and is even constructed of separate waterproof compartments as a safety measure. And you can hunt in saltwater or anywhere else you choose. There is more info soon as I get it but there ain't no detector no where even remotely like the AT. It's the one everybody has been waiting for and will blow the competition away.

Bill.
Some of this I don't doubt , but some of it I would have to see to believe. No offense meant Bill.
