There is no getting around the fact that my silver count has increased!

Went out to the local, OLD fairgrounds area and found a Mercury dime with the Etrac. Yesterday, from the same location, a silver '43 washington quarter. Two merc's in the front yard of an old home a few days ago. I have not had this unit long, and it is finding silver when I thought my silver-finding days where over. Silver dimes ring out at 12-45 on mine but today, I only saw 12-45 once as I slowly and steadily swung over the target. To my knowledge, there was no other target down there with it but who knows. It was an OLD parking lot that has grown up with grass. The grass being mowed year after year for 60 years as formed about 5 inches of soil ON TOP of the gravel. The silver (and the copper pennies and some clad dimes and quarters) are resting just beneath the gravel AFTER I remove the plug of sod from the top. The Etrac is truly a silver loving machine and the proof is in my ever-rising silver coin cup!!!! I like those steady hi tones. I have gotten to where I hear them in my sleep. Merry Christmas all!!!

Congrat's on some excellent finds !

And yes , the E-Trac is a killer machine for finding deep, old Silver !
Also, running your E-Trac in Two Tone Ferrous - (2TF) mode is truly amazing for finding old coins at a real junkie site.
If you never used 2TF before - there's plenty of people in this forum that can tell you how to set up the program.

Happy Holidays !

Congrats on the silvers! Hope you kept a log of all your past hunts. Then you can go back and hit the spots you've found wheats and silver in the past. The e-trac is a silver seeking machine =)
