Nice Largie! I was wondering how would you compare the E-trac to your AT-PRO?
When the kids were young I used to aggravate them by asking them who they like the most their mom or me. I knew the
real answer, but asked it anyways. Their answer universally was "I like you both the same." Lying little

Sooooo.... Harold it all depends on the type of hunt at hand. I've changed my hunting style from clad coin to hunting old coins/relics by necessity.
I've got late 1700's early 1800's house sites that are a bed of square nails at 6-7 inches, that puts the E-trac in a perpetual null in coin mode or any kind of mode with any kind of discrimination pattern. The AT Platform is able to run in it, with iron discriminated out. So I use both detectors virtues to my advantage, I mop up the coins above the nail bed with the AT due to its speed .......then come back in all metal in Two Tone Ferrous , low and
slow, then
slower, then really
slow with the Etrac hoping to get a window of opportunity due to its depth.
I run this grid pattern several times over a period of several days until the flow of coins stops 100% and only then do I consider it Minelabed out

......and go seek some new turf to hunt.
I can and do hunt later with the Minelab due to its backlight.
On rainy days I really

the AT.
The program-ability of the E-trac to be able to change tones is an awesome feature
The AT is definitely faster in a sprint race
The E-trac is definitely deeper
The AT is lighter.......but the E-trac is better engineered.
The factory service on the AT Platform is good, and I hope I
never have to use Minelab's to find out.
Once when I was up in Alaska guiding I was in a restaurant with a client ordering breakfast. The guy ordered bacon and eggs. The waitress asked the guy how he "liked his eggs"....the dude thought for a minute and said "I like my eggs..... I really like my eggs
I guess I like my detectors........I really like my detectors......depending on what I am using them for "I like them both the same"
