Bill - Yes, it will happen on air tests (thunking). But if the soil matrix allows for deeper detection than air (and it does with E-Tracs) then there must be some correlation, some connection. I haven't dug any coins yet, on any detector in Germany, that read as iron. I wonder if there is some common element to the soil for people who dig coins that read in the iron range. e.g. - more mineralization? more iron mineralization?
