Hello guys. This may sound crazy to some,but do you ever get tired of just finding bullets and melted lead? Don't get me wrong I will take all of them I can find but sometimes I would like to find some other stuff. I'm hunting in Corinth Ms. This area has been hunted for yrs and there is still some stuff found occasionally. The last 3 hunts I've been one I have found a total of 13 bullets and one button. This F75 is a heck of a machine. I mean it's picking up tiny percussion caps! It's just sometimes I would like to see some other nonferrous items! I guess I should feel lucky that I am even able to find relics in my back yard!

I never get tired of diggin bullets. Lead is my favorite color. Let me know I'll come over from Baton Rouge and help you rid some of them bullets. Good luck. CCH

If your finding lead then there's a good chance of other relics . HH
Bullets are the wheat pennies of the Civil War. Just be patient and the brass will come. Just a lot more bullets were lost than buttons, buckles, etc. Coinhunters have to deal with digging a lot of wheatpennies to finally find the good silver coins. No difference when relic hunting,we just have a different type of target to contend with until we find the more desireable relics. Just keep digging.

Hello, I'm brand new to this forum but not to detecting and a few other sites like this. I just enjoyed reading your post and some of the replies. I understand how you feel. And I have a suggestion of how you might turn those "boring" bullets into a real blessing. Find a teacher or talk to someone at a local elementary school. Give them a bullet to hand out to every kid in their class when they study the American Civil War. I've given away probably hundreds of bullets this way, and nothing fosters the imagination of a kid and love of history like holding an actual artifact from the Civil War. Good teachers will think the world of you -- not to mention the fact that this has actually led to access to new spots when parents thank me and ask me more about how I came to get these bullets. To the non-detectorist, many are amazed that these things are still around. Just a thought -- happy digging!

Welcome to the forums pshoe and thanks for the great idea. I wouldn't give away any that I found, just don't have that many to start with, but they are not all that expensive to buy as a learning tool for our kids. Just gave me an idea for Grandparents day...........
