To Headphone or not to Headphone that is the question:detecting:

Ok have noticed that there are some in this forum that choose not to use headphones. With most other detectors people swear by using headphones. Is there something about the Safari that lends it self to not having to use headphones?

I have learnt from experience, that when learning a detector's new tones, that headphones are better because they help cancel surrounding noises and therefore you're able to concentrate on the different tones from the various targets. In effect, you are training your ears.

I would tend to agree just this is the first detector where I some people feel it works better without. I guess will need to wait for some input from the no headphone camp
