Took me a while

Just about every beach hunt had me skunked, nearly got me thinking my CTX had a beach jinx.
On a sanded in beach with only sparse signals I was digging Iron, .... of all things.

Then a recent drop nearly gave me a heart attack when i kicked open the first scoop.
A few markings I haven't seen before, some initials,.... looks too good to be true.

At home promptly confiscated by,.... well you know.

How to pry it from her hands just long enough to visit my jeweler?????

You are soooo lucky. I found a pendant once with an emerald in the middle, surrounded by 10 small diamonds. She loved it, I was a hero and it cost me a hundred bucks for a gold chain.

That's an easy one. Just tell her that you want her to have a pair so, you need to take it to the jeweler so he can make a copy of it.

Knowing my other half,... she'd say:"You'd better put that in black and white! ...... OR !........ "
Can't complain. She suffers my skunked sessions, extatic behavior about an old coin, costly visits to the detector dealer and general old F@rt grumpiness when I don't get that detecting itch scratched.

Some days it takes a long time just to get a descent signal and then come home empty handed , go back the next day and find a gem in the first minute in the same spot . I guess that's how it works lol . sube
