Took the Eurotek out on its first hunt and it paid for itself 10 times over!!!

Not the kind of things I usually look for but was contacted about a farmer that had lost one of the pieces off his disc while working. The part was going to cost over $700 to replace. I told them I would be out sunday(yesterday). I get there and the farmer tells me he will take me to the field he lost it in which was about 1/2 mile away. They had searched the whole field and came to believe it had been shoved under the dirt when it came off. I told him I would find it as the thing was huge and I knew it would give an overload signal. What I didnt realize was just how much ground there was to cover in just this one small field of his 1200 acres.. Well, low and behold, a little over 4 hours in I found it. Wouldnt you know it was in a section that was in standing water and mud.
The best part about my good deed was now being given permission to hunt the whole property which is very old and has a home from the 1860s on it and one that was tore down years ago. He also told me he would get me permission to go hunt at some of his friends farms which he said have houses sitting on them that are older than his. He also gave me two packss of steaks from a cow they had just butchered. It was a great day and netted me enough spots to hunt for the next couple years which is worth more than anything to me!

Congrats , that's a great way to get in some prime hunting areas.

Being a dairy farmer myself I can appreciate what you did for the farmer. I can't remember how many times people around my area has borrowed my detector to find a lost item.

I just purchased a Teknetiks Delta 4000 and haven't used it yet. A buddy called me up last week to ask if I could help find his wedding ring which he lost in the snow. I'm going this saturday and soooo excited. This one of the many reasons why I bought a metal detector!

Great Job! Whatever it takes to open a door. Build fences, round up cows, put up hay and one of my favorites, shooting coyotes at calving time. Good Luck and HH.
