Well my hunch paid off tonight I took the small skiff up river to new spots that I know I’ve never been hunted before..
I found two 1939 mercury dimes in about an inch of sand along the beach I was stoked! Then I started getting nickel signals I got two 1907 V nickels a buffalo no date then a nice deep high tone turned out a 1905 barber quarter man this hunts turning out great!
Then another high tone a 1945 Washington! Some clad and fishing weights this river is very densely populated from way back 1700’s so who knows what I’ll find I’m sure golds out there lots of swimmers a new untouched area can’t wait to back this weekend!
I only spent about two full hours in a 200ft stretch!!
Equinox
Beach 2
No discrimination
25 sensitivity
Recovery 5-7
Lots of deep iron so you have to dig some!

Nice finds!! Looks like another “hot spot”!

Wow, that would just floor me to find that type of place. But then again you just never know whats going to be lucrative until you swing the coil!!!

Thanks guys I knew there would be silver at this spot there is no access it’s all private only way is by boat there’s miles of river bank with houses all along it it has had swimming for years!

It’s mostly salt but freshwater comes in way up river but where I am detecting it’s salt coins take a beating it’s a old swimming area the whole river is so I’m going to be finding a lot of stuff I think!

Nice bunch of old coins! Neat to pick out a spot that produces like that. Highly suspect that whole area can keep you busy finding goodies for quite some time. If you have iron and those kinds of coins, have to remove some of the iron I would guess. Good going! HH Jim Tn

Nice finds! Tough to beat the feeling of a spot with elbow room, not having to constantly look over your shoulder, and hasn't been detected before. Hope you have many more trips and success there.
