topo map reference icons

Mr. Beard

looked online for topo map reference icons and did NOT find what these represent on a 1957 topo map.
Any topo map specialists on here that can tell me???

Possibly those blue dashes indicate an intermittent/wet weather swamp/pond. Small enough that they just appear as ovals. Just a guess, but it looks like pretty flat country there. If you go to the site, you'll probably see a small depression.

Intermittent lake or pond with a wall or barrier between them, possibly settling ponds of some kind maybe from a drilling operation?
