Ive been using an XLT for a long time and am wanting to purchase a V3I. Is this going to be an easy transtion for an old dog? Any thoughts,pointers etc.. will be greatly appreciated.

You can actually turn on and go if you wish. I think there are like nine (didn't count) that you can make adjustments too. When I got mine I couldn't pick up a nickel on top of the ground. Eventually restored all programs to factory settings and now its making me dig deep for them. I think I'm picking out what I and others have missed. The average recover is six inches or better lately
 
The V3i is a very complicated machine. Until new techknowlogy gets here I think it is the ultimate machine though. I have been detecting for many years and I have had the V3i for quite some time now. I learn something new about it everytime I use it. I have to confess though I never used the preset programs.

New technology is already here. If you'll look around you'll read about and see some videos. Hint-Thanksgiving
