I have several detectors and enjoy them each, knowing what they can do ... differently ... from other models. I had two of the earlier green T2's and the only thing it didn't have, or that I lacked, was the small 5" DD coil. It wasn't any super restructuring and programming to make it different that I needed or wanted. I now have the 'Classic' T2 and this time WITH the 5" DD coil, and the performance is both proven as well as enjoyable/satisfying. No need to change that as then it wouldn't be what it already is.Mega said:Must admit its a very tempting offer, but will have to do some more homework on the actual benefits, mine is one of the original green machines and i am thinking if it aint broke dont fix it.
No dilemma for me as it is an easy 'don't need it' decision.Mega said:Mine has found me many lovely finds over the years including Celtic gold coins going back to 55BC,what a dilema do i or dont i, ...
There's the key, with any make or model. To understand them and what they are telling us. No need to change their language.Mega said:... gut feeling tells me 'NO' as i fully understand what my machines is telling me.

Offer the Classic T2, at low ball price to kill the China clone sales and generate lots of sales. Then offer to upgrade for extra bucks to the enhanced T2. They got you twice in the pocket book.
2 Much Trash said:Sven, do you detect with a t2 or just a competitor?
coenwolf said:i was thinking about it ,but i don't think the cost of upgrade plus fedex postage warrants it ..i find goodies with mine already

Coenwolf, shipping is included both ways in any of the upgrade packages.
... to include close to power line sources in the big urban environments, or hunting close to some industrial sources, or working in tot-lots, etc., I just have not had the EMI issues with my new 'Classic' T2 that I had with the two earlier green T2's I used to own, hunting the same and similar sites.Mega said:Its a good move if you are detecting in a high EMI location like tots lots or built up areas but most of our detecting in the UK is on farmland and only problem is when going under powerlines, but that is only for a short time duration anyway.
