Very sad news

One of my friends, and a forum member migolddigger, also known to me and the rest of my hunting buddies as Tom Weaver drowned in Lake Huron while metal detecting on Saturday in Caseville MI. He was 39.years old.

He left behind a son and a daughter and a fiancee and he will be missed by a lot of us that knew him.

I am still shaken up over it. Nobody knows what actually happened yet. He was found in 4' of water. He was wading without waders and nothing else is known right now.

He helped anybody he could with their detectors and was very proficient with the DFX, CZ-21 and the Minelab Explorer.

Very sorry to hear your friend died. I clicked on the link and read the story...I just wish one of those girls had the sense to go out there and keep his head above the water when they saw he was in trouble

Sorry to hear this, I remember Tom because he replied to one of my posts a while back and offered to send me a program for the Explorer.

It's a story very similar to what happened to Wayne Otto a couple of years ago. A raffle and some auctions were setup to help Wayne's family and I hope the same can be done here.

and Tom Weavers family and friends.

I just want to thank everyone that replied. I gave his brother Ron a link to this page and he saw all the responses. He was touched. Thanks all.
