Waiting for the little brown truck . . . . with my E-Trac

UtahRich

Well-known member
Decided to go ahead and take the step and get the E-trac. :jump: I hate waiting for that little brown truck, it's worse than waiting for an upcoming vacation.

I've been a longtime user of an Explorer XS (Aug 2000) so I anticipate having excellent results. Decided it was time to move along.

I've been sorting ever so slowly through old E-trac posts for suggested settings. I primarily hunt old yards, parks, and the like. I do have a copy of Andy's book (thank you Andy, very well done) If any of you successful E-Trac users out there have additional suggestions or affirmations to suggestions from others, I'd be glad to read them.

I know its brutal isn't it I couldn't wait to get mine but now I have to wait for the snow to melt. I guess I've got no advice since I just got mine also. Well good luck and HH. Josh

So how many times have you "tracked" your package on their website Rich? I remember at least 3/day for myself.

Good luck with the new E-Trac Rich - look forward to seeing your finds posted in this forum !

I know how you feel. I was doing the same thing the other day myself. It's like a kid waiting for Christmas morning .lol. I have found out so far
it is well worth the wait

I am limiting my tracking checks to once a day. I have been scoping out places to hunt the last couple months and I am trying to decide where to go on the maiden voyage. I can hit a very old park and try my hand at sorting through the trash or take it to a couple old houses or an old school yard.

Oh come on Rich!!!! I KNOW you'll be just like the rest of us and use your "maiden" voyage ticket in your own yard!!!!!!:detecting::wave:

My yard is totally uninteresting - House was built in 1959. I have serious EMI around the house making it difficult to use a detector in the yard.

:bouncy: I limited my tracking checks to 20 per day. Well it seemed that way anyway. Hope you get it soon!
