Waiting For v4.2 To Fix MI6 Connectivity

unearth

Member
Four days detecting and nothing but problems with the MI6 pin pointer. V4.1 is worse than v4.0 ever was. So, MI6 pin pointer is going back on the shelf or being sold unless Xp can come up with a fix for the connectivity problem. I'm tired of having to shut down the Deus once or twice to get the coil to connect after turning off the pin pointer. Anybody got any other ideas?

Interesting. I've had my Ml6 since v4.0 with no issues. I'm at v4.1 now and still works just fine?

Just completed the 4.1 update and did a brief test outside. MI 6 operates flawlessly and quickly with the coil connection. Sure would be nice if the I D number showed on the MI 6 screen.

No problems with V4.1 and the MI6. I have around 12 to 14 hrs since I updated from V4.0 to V4.1 and are liking V4.1.

I appreciate the replies and that everything is working out fine for you, but does anybody have a suggestion on how to fix the problem I'm having? Do I have to re-load 4.1? Do I have to re-load 4.0 and then re-load 4.1? I've tried removing the pin pointer and re-pairing it. Does my coil have a problem? I'm at a loss as to why I'm still having this problem.

Step 1: uninstall the update from your computer and then reinstall the update.
Step 2: redo the update on all your components
I was told to do this when I was having issues with V4 and it worked for me.
Good luck

You may not have a clean update driver install based on your PC’s OS platform, I would suggest removing the update you installed on your computer, restart the computer, make sure no other programs or updates are running in background and then reinstall the update driver to your computer giving you a fresh place to start.
I haven’t had the need to uninstall and then reinstall the updates but am aware that some folks have unloaded ver. 4.0 in the past to go back to 3.2.
Hopefully they will chime in here..........
It may be possible to take the freshly reinstalled update driver and overwrite the update currently in your R.C. .......I’m not sure.
U.K. Gary made mention of Windows O.S. Platforms in a video he made a couple of months ago and the update process at that time prior to the Ver. 4.1 final release.
Please remember the update process has since changed, however, the P.C.’ s O.S. Platform may be the culprit... I’m not sure.
Short of that, it may be necessary for you to box it up and take to your dealer who may be able to get you sorted out.
I was able to find the video and have attached it below for your perusal.

Hope this helps,

I have been using 4.0 with no issues whatsoever..

Maybe I got a Wednesday afternoon pinpointer rather than a Friday afternoon or Monday morning

Same here 4.0 new MI-6 no problems what so ever other than to turn down sensitivity ..

I only loaded the 4.0 program after all the Beta testing and such was all done and the update had been out for awhile. I have heard some of those that downloaded the Beta versions had this issue such as you have. I would try as suggested and remove the download program from your computer and reload it. Try 4.0 again and see if that works.
I have 4.0 on both my remotes as well as 2 sets of WS5 headphones one set of WS4 headphones, 4 coils and 2 MI6 pin pointers with no problems. I wish you luck and please be sure to chime it when it is resolved so we know how you made out.

I would say you have a bad pinpointer, might call who you purchased it from and see it you can send it back for a new one

I would agree do you have anyone you could swap with to see if the problem follows the pinpointer.

Thanks guys. I re-loaded 4.1 and the pin pointer seems to be working better. The coil will not re-connect sometimes, but it's not happening as often.
I will call the seller and see what they will do about the problem.
