Waterproof Headphones For Equinox

Both great options, cant go wrong either way. Build quality, tonal quality and clarity slightly better in Grey Ghosts in my opinion. Patriot's are a more snug fit for faster moving water. Both great for rainy days also. Hope this helps, JJ

Here's a third option I would absolutely look at. I had a set of Tony Eisenhower made for my nox 600. Contacted him directly and told him what I needed. He gave me a price which I deemed very reasonable and we were off. They arrived a short couple of weeks later and the build quality on them is outstanding. I've hunted in 30mph + wind / at the waters edge and they block out a significant amount of noise . I'm am totally satisfied with the purchase I made.

I second the Tony Eisenhower headphones for Equinox!
I would not part with mine. The Minelab ones are junk. I do have a set of the yellow Pelso headphones and prefer them on my Manticore because they deliver more volume at a lower setting than the Eisenhower set on the Manti. The Eisenhower set is better on my Equinox 800. Perhaps the difference in impedance is the key? I don’t know the specs. I’ve done a lot of swapping and testing and that’s why I responded to this thread. Grey Ghost amphibians I use with my Garrett Sea Hunter MK 2 and love those for that…great on the ATPro series detectors too! I also have the GG Amphibians hardwired to my Excal 2 because stock Minelab yellows are junk and break - I know.
Grey Ghost NDT’s are my phones I swap between certain other land detectors and when using the WM08. Wouldn’t part with them either. I have a wall of headphones hanging from Whites, Garrett (incl the blues), Accusound and others representing a 40 year accumulation of detecting stuff.
