Weekend silver

Went to visit my sister, 2 1/2 hours away. She hooked me up with some yards to detect in. I found a large quantity of wheat pennies and these two! I'll be going back next weekend for more!

I don't blame you a bit for going back. Good to see the silver! Thanks for the great pictures.

Real nice - I'd go back too !

Two silvers is a good day of detecting. Congratulations on the the finds. -- Randy

sweeet...very nice '41 although theyre both pretty.

Yep... headed back up this weekend. I started out with permission at 2 houses and got three more!

Once they are done with their olive oil bath (about 2 weeks) I'll post pictures of the 1939 New York World's Fair pressed penny and the 1936 Green River Whiskey token I also found.

I was happy! There are still a lot of silver coins out there to be found.

This is the first time I can really say that I truly saw how 2 tone ferrous works.

The whole 8 foot wide side yard of one houses was nothing but one BIG null. I put the E-trac into 2 tone ferrous and recovered a screaming wheat penny that would have been missed by any other detector. I would have missed it with the E-trac.

silver's sweet! it's what we live for!..just sayin!

my question would be how did you know to put the detector in 2 tone ferrous to begin with?
in other words, couldn't you have just run the detector and just let it "pick" out the good targets in the null?
just wondering!..i do NOT own an e-trac!..thanks!

The null was so bad that the detector was dead silent.
