It's been about a month or more since I've posting any of my finds. I farm and ranch so this is an extremely busy time of year. Yet, I found myself saying yes when asked to be in a community play. The play wasn't even in my community. Its about 1

Congrats on some very nice finds. Looks like you did quite well! I remember when I lived in Nebraska in the early 70's, I hunted a few of those old halls up in the Columbus area, where the locals held weddings and get togethers. Lots of nice folks in that part of the Country. HH Randy

Great finds and a good story to boot. Do you play the banjo as well as you do your Etrac? ;)

 I'd like to say yes. I play well enough to fool the uneducated....the E-Trac is a lot easier to learn. I've never heard of a "turn-on and- go" 5 string banjo!!!!!

If they made one I would get it just so I could play Foggy Mountain Breakdown.

Thanks Craig! Yeah I was told that about the button too. Then when I showed the mouthpiece they thought I ought to go ahead and find the rest of the trumpet....

Nice hunting & some nice finds! I really like those tokens (I'm not sure if there is a book on Nebraska tokens - you may want to check on line). You hit the trifecta on those silver dimes and all the other relics are neat too. I never saw a ring marked "solid gold" - I wonder if it is and it's approximate age. HH

PS I found a few pearl button like yours at a high school field and I think they are from the band practicing on the field.

Nice finds,Since you have the banjo and the troubles detecting in the dark with the bugs you ought to be able to come up with a country song for us?
You know in your spare time.

I wondered the same thing. I don't know the weight on it yet. I know it is really thin. But that is the way it came out of the ground. I didn't have to clean it and there is definitly no flaking. I can't figure out what the little "N" or whatever after the "Solid Gold" would mean.....probably stands for NOT:laugh:.
