What are your detecting goals for 2010 ?

Keeping things in perspective! On a recent trip to Florida I saw more treasure hunters than targets. Most would not stop to give you the time of day, just grumbling something about how we need a nor'easter. I love this hobby, I love digging pennies etc. Sometimes I find good stuff and that makes my wife very happy The stuff that I did find this trip was DEEP. Slow down ,chill out and most of all HAVE FUN!

find a 10 dollar gold piece a old fellow told me he lost under a apple tree in a pigpen when he was a boy, he set the coin in the crotch of the tree and climbed up to shake loose a few apples for the pigs and when he climbed down his coin had fallen into the mud and was trampled its there somewhere

My main detecting goal for 2010 is to START! (geez, I wish the snow would melt soon here...)

I have three goals for this season:
1) Get into the 1800's with some finds.
2) Dig 25 or more silver coins.
3) Get out as much as humanly possible.

I've been detecting since the 1980's and haven't found a seated coin yet. Took a long break from detecting while
I was in the military, but now I think the time has come for me to find some seated coins!

Pick up Explorer 2 tomorrow!!! Courtesy of the 'bay. Fingers crossed, it looks good, it sounds good, it's found some good stuff for it's last owner. Now to see if I can help her sing! 'Twas a close thing, though, right within a gnat's whisker of my budget limit. Oooh, 'bay adrenalin rush.....
Thanks to Bryce for your coil reports - I went for this particular Exp 2 because it has a 1050 on it after all the good stuff you wrote about that coil.
