What do you get with a 36-37 with a touch of 34...

... 2 Indian Head Pennies and 2 Wheaties in one hole. Man was I excited when I saw the fat feathers instead of the thin wheats on the back. Had to go to the truck for a quick rinse to make sure. One of them is now my oldest coin. (1882) They had a really nice green patina when they came out of the ground. They were at 8 inches and one wheat was at further down at about 9-10. The third wheat was about 8 inches down in a different hole. I had already found a 1918 Merc so I knew that there was potential for some older stuff in this yard. I was hunting with my neighbor's 13 yr old son. He was swinging a Ace 250 and managed to find 4 cars and other cool stuff. He got a pro pointer and now he is moving out!!! (But leaving the ground in proper condition)
Found some other stuff that that is pictured below. Not sure what the heavy decorative plate is. Looking for some play dough so I can get a relief pix.
More pix to come
HH,
Bunker

The plate is very heavy and about the thickness of a couple of quarters. The right side is not the same as the left side. I believe it rang up at 35 at about 3-4 inches.
The copper compact was about 9 inches, rang up 36-37. Just dirt inside.
Thanks for looking,
Bunker

Bunker, you continue to amaze us with all these greats finds!!! great work, congrats and keep swinging!!!

Those are some really nice finds Bunker. Snow has finally melted so it ain't as long as it was. Keep on swinging while you doing good. Maybe you should just start hunting billfolds.:minelab:

Great finds, man am I getting the itch. Going to some beaches on the East coast with my wife on the 24th- 26th of this month. We are celebrating 19 yrs of wedded bliss:)inlove:). You gotta love those injuns in pretty good shape. It hit 60 deg. today in Ma. Some snow has melted but there's still about 18-24'' on the ground . Hope we don't get anymore, and I hope Puxataney Phil is on his game. Where you at Bunker? Obviously somewhere with no snow and ice, keep up the good finds, and its nice that you're showing the neighbor boy the ropes. Its good for a kid to get an early start detecting. All 4 of my boys have gone out with me, now its just me, and once in a while my 2 younger sons 11 and 13. Good Luck HH

Thanks everyone for your nice comments.
Ronaldj...Let's hope it melts real soon for ya'll. I am located in St. Pete, Fl. So we hunt yr around. This is my first winter hunting since I just started last Mar. I is a nice break from the hot temps we get here in the summer. I don't mind the heat, but I tend to not want to stop and hydrate. So I ended up buying a camelback to allow me to go without stopping. Congrats on your anniversary! That is great. This May will be 28 years for us.
HH all,
Bunker

Bunky -Glad to see you haven't missed any opportunities to swing the coil. I'm sure the neighbors kid is gaining loads of experience with your guidance. Would like to see some before and after pics with these latest finds, if you don't mind, that is.... that decorative plate should be worthy of a posting over on the whatzit forum for obtaining some info.

Thanks Ken, I am going to send that pix to the Whatzit soon. I don't have any pix of the IH before. I know I should have but slacked off I guess. Spring will be here before you know it, then I will get to drool over all the really old stuff you guys find up there in the early colonies!

Thanks Bunker, I go every year around this same time and the beach always remains a constant. It doesn't freeze, because of the sand and salt water combo, made some pretty good finds this time of year, beaches are usually empty. Last year I saw 2 diehards detecting in the surf waist and chest deep, they had wet suits, one guy had an excaliber and the other a White's surf machine. Ron
