For me, it's the exciting discovery of something of historical value first and monetary value second.
When I go detecting, I temporary forget my problems.
I enjoy the weather when it's good and enjoy meeting people whom are interested in metal detecting.
The exchange of comments and ideas between our forum members helps one to be better with this hobby
and make new friends along the way.

i love the history....the "what if"....the "what might"...i love cutting a promising hole....the peace, the focus....nothing else is on my mind. really my finds have no monetary value at all, i would never sell anything, so the value is that its my treasure, that i found....i think we all must have a little pirate blood in us too.
