#1) to have fun

2) to bring as many new people into the hobby as I can.

3) to try and better learn my machine each time out.

4) to leave a site in better condition than it was before I got there.

5) to try and meet a few forum members to hunt if I can.

To stay conscious of the other things in my life that are important, and give them their due.

It's easy to get so engrossed in research and detecting that I sometimes don't pay enough attention to those other things. I know I will be very sorry if I lose them.
