Here is a couple of older pics . I did not make this Mod. But I wanted it from the moment I saw it. Since these pics I have got rid of the 1050 coil and replaced with a pro coil I also took the X-1 off no need for it I soak it in the tub for 12hrs and went water hunting with it one time no leaks HH RonC

I live in Puerto Vallarta Mexico and hunt the beaches for pull, tabs bottle caps, and other trash. Once in awhile I find silver rings, chains, coins and on rare occasion find a gold ring. It's so hot here in the summer I sometimes forget to go. But that's the price of living in the tropics. I hunt with a GT and an Elite made by Minelab. Here I understand pull tabs alone sell for $200 (Pesos) a kilo, so I'm well on the way to making my first million. My name is Jack or Joaquin as I am known here. HH every one..

My name is Brett. I have detected on and off since I'm a kid. I am 48 years old now. I live in southern Pennsylvania. I grew up coin shooting yards and parks. I recently switched over the detector collection to give beach hunting a try. I am about 2.5 hrs from the beaches of Delaware Maryland and Jersey. I love the GT on land and sand. I had a F75 LTD and traded it for an Excalibur II. Getting old is painful and I am always looking for ways to make detecting easier. I would love to hit the beach after a big nor-easter and plan on doing it this year. Reading this site has enabled me to find quality equipment and helped me use and understand it. Thanks to all for that!

hi to all my name is Alexander from the beautiful island of cyprus. Basically i hunt beaches and when its possible some abandoned villages for relics.

Hello,
My name is Jaime and I am a detectaholic. I guess admitting this is the first step.

I have been fascinated by treasure hunting since I was a kid and found one of the metal detecting mags while dumpster diving. I have been detecting since the early 1990's with a hiatus for the past 5 or so years. I lived in Atlanta and enjoyed relic and coin hunting. I have recently moved to Jacksonville, FL, and talked my loving wife into purchasing a beach detector. Through skillful negotiation and the promise of continual progress on a never ending honey do list, I was able to get both a Surfmaster Pro PI DF and an Excalibur II 1000. I have found 3 gold rings and a really long silver necklace in the past month of which the wife has claimed both a ring and the necklace through eminent domain. I also have a first generation Explorer XS which I use when I travel. My job takes me all across the Eastern US and I enjoy getting out and seeing what I can dig up. My latest in land finds were a 1807 and 1818 large cents from a church in Central NY. I enjoy the forums and they have helped me expedite the learning curve with my new detectors. Hope to PM some of you during some upcoming trips to see if you would like to get out and lose reality in the soft hum of a threshold. Good luck and happy hunting to all.

Jaime

Greetings,
My name is Jerry and I live and hunt on the east coast of Florida. Been MD'ing on and off for about 15 years. I'm an old retired cop and I enjoy researching old sites and then seeing how many pull tabs I can find. So far I have managed to perfect the art of finding those darn things. Now if I could just get as good at finding good stuff I think I may stick out this hobby. Just broke down and bought the excal and BOY does that thing find the pull tabs and bottle caps. But I do love the hobby and will keep looking for those elusive pull tabs and bottle caps. Who knows, I might get lucky one of these days and find a gold pull tab.
Happy Hunting to All,
Jerry
