Why do you like Minelabs???

Etrac is my fourth Minelab machine, I just don't know any better.I've been to many group hunts with all sorts of machines being used and I always find more then most of the other detectorists. Why ? ( lots of information equals more finds ) or dumb luck? Little of each maybe

This forum and youtube got me interested in Minelab. I really wanted an E-Trac to start with but, having never owned a detector, went with the X-Terra 305. After finding my wedding ring, my wife (bless her) "allowed" me to get the E-Trac. Bottom line, it looked like one of the funnest detectors to run, fairly simple to set up, the abilities to use so many different set up factors and tones helped and FLAT OUT it just seemed to be the one guys were posting good OLD coin finds with!

Because they just find good SH#T! Look at the minelab hunt results compared to all the other brands on this Forum.. You want to see old coins. The first place you look is the Explorer and E-trac page

Nothing gets those "iffy" masked targets like an E-TRAC... nothing! I get a real thrill out of finding good targets out of places where there aren't supposed to be any targets left. Those places where people regularly come up and do you a favor by telling you that you are wasting your time there... and they are serious.... and I am regularly making good finds... no good, solid signals but those signals that speak to me in that language that only the E-TRAC speaks.

Another machine that makes finds and I don't understnad how... it just seems to make good finds is the Tejon with the small coil. I haven't figured it out but it always seems to make finds. I've noticed that on a lot of trash targets the tone will degrade after a few swings but a on a good target the tone will stay solid. It is sometimes like a mystery machine to me... but it ain't no E-TRAC.

I like them because everytime I use it, I am amazed how it finds coins right amongst heavy iron........all I hunt is old homesites, and they are all loaded with nails/iron

Minelab is simply the best detectors hands down! I have used garretts and whites and they don't even TOUCH the minelabs I have owned

Minelabs run in any soil conditions in my area without much ajustment were the other manufacturers detectors and ive owned most of them have to be constanly ajusted to get them to perform at max lots of iron ore in my area.

I've owned a lot of detectors...DFX, F75's, F70 and many more. Nothing makes detecting fun like the Etrac. I confident with this detector and for the first time I'm not wanting to try something different. I know that I have the top dog.

You guys have got me feelin like selling off all my other detectors except "U NO WHO"!!!!!-----Who was the bird that started this question anyhow???-----Oh yeah, never mind, it was me.----And no, ya can't have my Etrac (or EX 2)!!!!!-----I luv 'em because they "work as advertised"! ---------Del

Because you get what you pay for - top of the line equipment that is comparably better than the competition in discriminating targets at depth. Gives you plenty of information, allowing you to determine whether to dig or not. Audio is very good.

Like most folks, my results improved dramatically when I switched from Whites/Fishers to Minelabs years ago. And the E-Trac is working great!

E TRAC VERSITILITY !!!.....You can hunt just about anywhere ...beach or dry land ..... Take a look at the various forums and see who's finding the big finds !!......The Minelab machines give you RESULTS !!.... The E Trac is the machine that other machines compare themselves to .....and for good reason ..... Jim

you know that is so true! you look at the forums MOST people finding a ton of silver week after week is the minelab users! results speak for themselves!

The best thing about them is that right out of the box , results. I have owned and used Minelab equipment since the early 90's starting with the first gold machine. I bought the first Explorer and had a great deal of learning to do with the unit but after that WOW. Great machines, never had any trouble with them except a broken wire on the XS at the plug.
Now as far as cost and someone above putting pressure on himself to produce,I always found that if you relax a bit you do better. Like golf if you put pressure on yourself the fun is gone man ,relax and go the finds really come in with these units. E-trac is just an amazing machine. I've sold Fisher,Whites,Bounty hunter, and others over the years settled in with Minelab and just love em.:minelab::clapping: Hardrock

Not always the case. Look at the price of the "top of the line" Whites. I can think of at least 4 other machines I'd rather own that are that price or much cheaper, 3 of which are Minelabs, and the other probably being a T2 LTD, which is next on my list. Remember too that any of the Sovereign models including the GT can be had for as little as $300 to $400 used (about $600-$700 for a GT, including meter). While most say the GT is a tad deeper any of those models will blow the doors off new machines from other companies costing over one thousand dollars. Great way to make a cheap water machine too for south of $300, essentially having an Excalibur if you throw a Sovereign into a waterproof box.

personally I'd take even a minelab exterra over any whites machine, I has 2 hunting partners that both had DFX's for 3 yrs and I could walk behind them with my xterra and get stuff they missed

Took the words right out of my mouth.

For me it's the prompt outstanding attention and detail to customer service! No matter! You still will have to pry the E-Trac from my hands. jim
