Will I Get Thrown In San Quentin Prison..??

I have "Official" legal documentation, that says I can Metal Detect San Francisco Golden Gate Park..!! It comprises of 1017 Acres that goes back to the 1840's. It very near my sister's house.... which is about a four-hour drive. The Problem is.... I'm not allowed to DIG..!! It's just surface hunting. I just keep thinking of the hippie rings, and bracelets, and necklaces of silver and gold of the 1960s and 70s. Plus the old coins of the mid to late 1800's. Here's the question... What would you do..??? Do I hide my digging tool under my Trench Coat.. ?? I don't want to look like a weirdo..!!

After giving this some more thought and you asking what others would do,
Based on what you posted,
I simply would not drive for four hours to go somewhere that I can detect, but not dig.... to me it is nonsense.
In four hours I could go somewhere much closer as dig all I want and not have to worry about getting into trouble.
just my opinion on this.
You have made some great finds in your area... surely there is somewhere closer for you to detect and not have to worry about breaking the law.

went to a game preserve last fall, which just happens to be in an old mining area. Met the game warden , he sad we could metal detect but could not pick anything up, but it was okay to hunt deer, hogs etc. Hmmmmmmm! game preserve good to kill animals, but cannot disturb anything on the ground go figure.

Slowly but surely (FASTER NOW) the GOV LAWS snare & trap the DECENT people as their SLAVES & sentenced into prison while the CORRUPTED GOV ELITES, who make the LAWS & pay themselves huge salaries live like ROYALTY, while stealing more from the POOR as they get by with killing, stealing & destroying--for they murder babies, the handicapped, the elderly, the mentally ill, we who love Jesus & do good for the whole of society--for they claim the world's nations are over-populated which is a bunch of HOOEY because if only God's Laws that are our U.S, Constitution were heeded & lived by , there would be room for everyone, because the Natural Order of God & His World allows for dying & renewing as they are created to do! I have an East Bay Park pass, $20.00 for 2 years, it says same thing. Never had problem but GG Park is Fed. Give it a try, never know. This is your first hunt than you will be able to talk to the park and show you are a good man. GLHH Carl

He had a song called Folsom Prison Blues but he indeed played an entire concert at San Quentin Prison I believe in 1969..google it..
