Hey 101numlock, I think that alot of e-trac user go into hybernation this time of year and emerge in the spring well rested and very hungry (for coins that is).

Time for researching and maps!

you have headed this topic winter blues this is my first year detecting and i never envisaged having to stop for the weather i am going to check out warmer climates where i can detect has anyone got any suggestions i will migrate like the birds do its pretty grim and i know you suggested researching but how much of that can you doooooooooooooooo

Me? Well actually i do it everyday at least some!
Research is the key to finding good places to hunt, I got tired of finding clad
and decided to get a little more serious about detecting.
Sure i still have times i don't find any old coins,But they are fewer now!
I have a bunch of places lined up to go now.
as to i use to have no idea where i was going to go.
But, One thing is for sure, You have to be where there are old coins to find them.
Research is the key.
This is why i got the maps forum started.
Well,catch you all later.
