XChange import / export

I keep dreaming of CTX so, in my quest to research and learn about it; I installed and registered XChange but, I'm not sure if it installed properly. On the left I have "ALL" and "RECYCLE" and under it there is a sample collection. Now, I watched a video on sharing the CTX files http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Asv1PHu ... _embedded#! and it looks like I am missing a "FILE" thingie in that menu so I can not import or export any setting files. Is it available only with a CTX hooked up to the computer? In the video, CTX has it's own icon so it shouldn't be the case... Any insight?

If memory serves me right, it seems like the CTX has to be hooked up to EX2 the first time, after that you do not have to hooked up to work with the files.

Thanks for the info. I guess this way Minelab makes sure that the software is of little use to anybody but the actual CTX users.

FYI Larry was right. "Files" become available after CTX is connected and the option stays available from then on.
Thanks to a help from a fellow Canadian, now I have that option available in my installation of XChange.
