Todays heartbreaker find...

Well-known member
My buddy and I went water detecting for a while today and early into the hunt, I got a nickel range signal on my XTP.
I scoop up the target and looked in the scoop and saw a ring.
Looked like white gold and with the TID reading, I thought surely I had a gold band... until I reached in the scoop and noticed how light it was for the size.
Apparently it is stainless steel....😟
Only marking I see inside the band is the word "KIng Will", which I think is a brand name of the manufacturer.
Oh well, sure was exciting for a few seconds...😗
Thanks for looking!

Water hunting hasn't been all that great for me either so far, but you added to that ring count.
My buddy found a nice 14k wedding band a few days earlier at another lake we were detecting at, so there is always hope!🤞🤞
I did pretty good in the river last year, but only been once this year due to too much rain here… the river is too high to detect right now…😩

Brings to mind an ole Johnny Cash tune, You’re gonna break another heart, you’re gonna tell another lie! We still skip a beat when those crop up.. almost as much fun as the real thing. But so disappointing in a flash.

Light weight might be Titanium. King Will seems to specialize in tungsten carbide and titanium.
It may be Titanium, but no marking inside.
I was thinking stainless steel since it is so light, but it does have appearance of Titanium
Thanks!
