Silver Thimble in my yard trying some new settings

Got out today for about an hour in my yard. We have a 1902 house in the historic district of our town. I've been through my yard several times trying to pinch out anything left from the previous hunts. I was mainly trying a few new settings for my England program. Found the thimble in an...

More great service form XP America

Had to post about the great service I've gotten from the folks at XP America. I've had my Deus for several years and the backphone controller stopped charging. I sent them back to Detector Electronics Group (XP America) and got an update on the problem and repair. Moe called to let me know...

First Seated and oldest coin to date with the 11" coil

Got out to the large park in town again for about an hour. Hit a large field I have not tried before since it's usually full of depositors playing football or Frisbee. I decided to do a grid near the larger trees in the grassy area. Got very few targets until I had a deep 92 in two directions...

Silver streak continues with a ring and Merc

Got out this weekend with 54Shooter to a school we have not hunted before. The school has some old oaks in a row near the tot lot and a couple of other old oaks along the fence. The row of trees is so full of trash, I thought my detector was having seizures.:laughing: I moved to...

First Silver for 2014 and a new MD friend

Got out today with 54shooter to a local school. Was the first warm day in several weeks, finally! Hit the Football field and go plenty of clad as usual for a School field. Also picked up four wheaties, a 1939 S, a 1945, 1947, and a 194_. The ground made toast of the wheaties, but the prize...

New 11" coil showing only partial charge

Hi all. Just got my new 11" coil and charged it fully, and paired it to the controller. The charge indicator on the controller and backphones only show a partial charge. Has anyone else noticed this, or did I do Something wrong? Thanks in advance for the input, Mike

Another one off the list V Nickel

Got out to that park where I found the Barber Half and got another coin to take off the list, a 1902 V Nickel in pretty bad shape. This coin was also in a tangle of roots and with a small chunk of melted lead right next to it. The separation capabilities of the Deus are pretty amazing. Thanks...

    Barber Half and Sadness

Got out today for a little while trying some tips from Andy's book. I live in Oregon and have several old parks in my town that have been hunted for the past 20 some odd years. The park was a camping park in the late 1800s and is now the major park in the town. I have been hunting the park...

Bullet and Indians from local park

Still can't believe I found a Civil War bullet in a local park. The park in located in Danville, Va two blocks from the last capital of the Confederacy. I guess it's no surprise that they likely camped all over the town to protect the capital. I know very little about these bullets, so any...

    "Big Clad" day

Went out to a small Park I've never hit before. Got my first Half Dollar today, of course, it was clad:rage: Still a nice to be out swinging the coil. Hitting an old 1870s hotel here in town I got permission to hunt yesterday. Will keep you all posted. Thanks for looking. Mike

    First Day with Deus

Let me start by saying WOW! I had a great two hours at a local park getting to know the Deus. I went over places I've been and some places I had not. The park is the largest in our town in Virginia and has been pounded for years by MDs. It still produces large amounts of clad and the...

The New Deus is here! The new Deus is here!!

The XP Deus came last night! Wow! This thing is light! Unfortunately, I'm working for the next four days 7am-7pm.....Now I'm just dying to use it. The manual so far is easy to follow. I'll spend today going over it on break. Cannot wait to get out there and put it through its paces...
