    Gold stone help ?

Or it's a glacially deposited stone if he's in a northeastern state or province... But a beautiful find indeed!

    Gold stone help ?

Don't crush it - unique nuggets pull in a lot of money. Sotheby's can give you a free appraisal.

    Fossil

I think you are right - crynoid stems are uniform in width except at the base and are made up of what look like stacked disks, not double-chambered like yours. Nice find!

    Axiom at the beach?

Has anyone tried out their Axiom at the beach? Just curious if it did well for you in theory and wet sand, and did you use either the mono or DD coil?

Who likes to use mineral lights (UV)?

Hey John, what type of material was the mine after, and what types of fluorescent minerals did you get? I used to work underground as well, mainly for mapping abandoned mines (MSHA trained and all). I don’t go underground anymore, though, the same with flying in helicopters.

Who likes to use mineral lights (UV)?

Whenever we go camping in the desert, we take along mineral lights to find florescent minerals. These are calcite (red), and Chalcedony (green). These calcite has manganese in it giving off that red color, and the chalcedony has traces of uranium in it. Any of you around Lake Michigan go...

    Agape at Agates

Went out for a rockhounding and camping trip in the Mojave with my wife and child looking for agates in a well-known location near Route 66. We found some really nice ones for our first time at the location and can’t wait to start working them up into cabochons for some jewelry making. Can’t...

    APPLE I PHONES

Bluetooth 2.4 GHz - apparently, they ping a connect command every once in a while, rather than using a continuous signal to extend battery life. There might be an app for Android that will sense it, it could be done if not.

Manticore owners: Do i need 1?

OT - Sorry, but important... Now that I am looking at the forum on my desktop rather than on my phone, I'm really embarrassed to see how large the inserted as full photos look on the desktop version of my post above!! From now on, I will do the same as what YT coinshooter did above. Trust me...

    APPLE I PHONES

You can also get, on Amazon, I suppose, a battery holder that uses two AA batteries for the Apple Airtags - if you use two lithium AA's for it, it will last years longer than the little CR2016 battery disc they normally take. There are also free 3D print files available to make your own (that's...

    APPLE I PHONES

When a stranger’s iPhone alerts them that there’s an AirTag tracking them nearby, they can make it beep in order to make it easier to find. Taking out the little speaker (piezoelectric disc) will prevent that.

    APPLE I PHONES

I remove their speakers so they are more easy to hide. It’s easy to do and there are instructions on how to do it on YouTube.

    Whites 24k knockoff

Well, when it rains it pours. There’s currently a GMX (a waterproof version of the whites 24k) on Facebook marketplace in Southern California if anyone is looking for one. It comes with the cool little yellow 4 x 6 coil and a yellow 6 inch round one. If I didn’t already have my 24k, I would’ve...

    APPLE I PHONES

Can you imagine your teenage kids knowing exactly where you are and when you are coming home? Man, it is good that stuff wasn’t around when my high school girlfriend and I were together back then! But seriously, some of that tracking stuff is good. I have silenced Apple AirTags hidden in our...
