    This is the solid white elliptical coil. I used it on the Patriot and it here was no depth difference between it and the 7x11 bi-axial coil. It is in above average condition and works great in brush and cornstalk type settings. No cord relief issues. 50 bucks shipped.

    Got to Try 9.09

    Willy, I believe version 2.07 corrected mainly vdi instability. This latest version 9.09 was to stop the "lockup" from sweeping over good targets next to bad targets. I agree, it is a very good coin hunter and the 5x8 is a near ideal smaller coil. Hopefully it will be available soon.

    If you air test a nickel with the Vortex, it will read 52. I have been digging just about all 51,52, and 53 signals with the Vortex and no nickels.     Tim, I replace my Red Book every three years. To be honest, I only sell my ratty or newer silver for melt value so the book is worthless in that scenario.

    Sent my 2010 AT Pro for its second rehab

    The ATPro will go down as one of the best mid priced metal detectors ever made. I have recommended this detector to a handful of people over the years and all have done well.
