    I have gone years.......

without finding a silver half and I have found 4 this year (so far ) three just in the last month. I thought I would make a contest out of this one for a Barber dime at the next meeting, must be present to win. Members, guess what year it is here on this post and the closest one wins...

    Slim pickings

Nancy found a nice yard that looked very promising, big corner lot, older house....... but was not meant to be. A 45 wheatie and a Tootsie toy truck was all of the older stuff found by me.

D2 coil VS 950 V rated coil..... V3i Whites machine

Yes, this is the V3i forum and Elton was talking about a new coil for his V3i and was considering the 9.5 V rated coil at that time. This thread is 5 years old.

Sorry we missed the club hunt

but we had an extended weekend camp-out planned. We got out to hunt a few times so I guess we had our own fun hunt between the showers........:detecting: I had a blast and found some nice finds too. My second half find of the year is a 1939 and two dimes, a 53 and a 57 as well as a war nickel...

    Another good day hunting

A 36 quarter, two Indians and 7 early wheats was worth the trip to neighboring town this morning. The ring is an Avon but the cuff link and pendant are old.

    Screen Locks up

It could be an oxidized ribbon connector. Open up the display pod, pull the ribbon connector off and reinsert. Worth the try.

    One thin dime

Oh Yea, 1838 in pretty worn condition but still a beauty to me. It is the no drapery, tilted shield varity that carries a small premium. Other finds was a 1904 Indian Head and 4 early wheats.

    V3i With a SunRay Probe ???

My guess is something was wrong with the DX-1selector switch, it should not have affected the proper operation of the coils. It sounds like maybe a faulty ground wire.

    Detech 18 x 15

It depends on how you are planning to use it. Not much, if any, help for coin hunting and it is big and heavy, but if you have the arm for it and are cashe hunting or for deep large relics, it might be worth it.

Garrett 250 with SunRay pinpointer for sale

Club members get first shot at this before listing in the classifieds. This unit has seen very little use, three or four times, and works perfectly but it has been in an auto accident and has a couple dings that can be fixed. We will take $250 for the Ace 250 and SunRayYF-1 pinpointer.

Club Silver hunt is fast approaching :clapping:

Since nothing has been posted yet about the hunt, I will share what I can with members and prospective members. PATH has a large members only planted hunt every year and there is an entry fee. The amount is determined by how active you have been in the club, the more meetings you attend and...

    Anyone else have dead pixels?

The connector is in the display pod so it is easy to get to. Just be sure the rubber gasket is seated properly before putting the pod back together. Good luck and hope the repair works.

    New V3i User

It might not be as important as one might think. I do a manual GB and lock it, my ground is pretty consistent. If your GB varies so much that you have to do a 15 minute average, you might be better off leaving it in Autotrac.

    Anyone else have dead pixels?

Getting it checked out and tuned up after 5 years is probably a good idea anyway but if you want to try the fix yourself, more often than not, the ribbon connector that goes into the display board becomes oxidised. It could be the display but I would pull the connector out and put it back in...

What a beautiful day for a hunt

We got out for a couple of hours this morning and hit a couple of yards we have hunted before but we didn't get everything. The Merc is a 24 and the two wheats are a 20 and a 44.

    TreasurMaster Vs TreasurePro depth

I think the two are virtually the same detector with the pro having more bells and whistles and of course the DD coil. Depth will depend on which coil would work better in your ground. DD coils are usually better in more mineralized ground and the opposite for the conical.

    Don't forget the early start

at the PATH meeting tonight 6 PM. Even though a pot luck meal, all guests are welcome to join in on the fun........ Nancy and I got back from a little get-a-way and we did a little hunting between the showers. With the wet ground, hearing the deep targets was much improved and...

    Wireless Head Phones

Wireless headphones work fine with no delay. Coil selection on the menu only fine tunes your depth reading on the display. It does not make it detect deeper. If you select the 6X10, it should be pretty close, I don't know how to get there but should be pretty easy to look up in the manual. If...

    Beautiful morning to go hunting

The ground is soaked for good digging and the temps were down to a bearable. We hit a couple of yards this morning and this was my take. The buff nic is a 35 and the merc is a 41.
