Well got the sniper coil this morning and it's Like Jim no depth but I believe I know why

they have wired the transmit and receive wires backwards is what it sound's like....it goes dead in the middle of the target and picks up on the edge of the coil... I have wired coils backwards before and got the same effect.....target i.D. will stay the same but depth will suffer along with...

Garrett want's the control box and coil back on the problem Garrett's

and I would bet the reason is that there was some first run's not wired properly ....I.E. the the ground wire was not attached to the plug's inside the housing and inside the cable coil plug... I am not saying that's what it is but they are not taking the coils apart...they are reusing them...

Added a new headphone jack on the At-Pro

Since I slid the armrest back I had some extra room on the back ...So I put a headphone jack in the open area .....ran the wire through the pole top get it out of the way...Nothing fancy just a 30 minute mod....but I am happy with the ergonomic's ...Now I can use my Killer B's!!! Keith

Get an extra inch out of the At-Pro armrest position...

I removed the armrest and there was enough room for 1 more inch ..drilled a new hole and put armrest back on and it is about right for me...would not want it any longer...it's as long as my other detector's....takes all the momentum off the wrist... just thought i would share ..quick and easy...

Anyone know anything about this 5900

I picked up this 5900 and the signal balance is on the front instead of the top...Any one running these......I heard they were only made about 1 year... seems to run smoother than some of the other 5900/Blue& gray's I have had....seems real deep .... I wonder about the lack of hot rock accept...

My take on the At-Pro after running it through the paces

Don't mean much but it's my take and it's a great 594.00 dollar detector.. It's the only Garret VLF machine I have found to perform in my dirt and consider having after using for awhile about the machine.... Con's 1- the coil wobble problem causes falsing when reversing swing or maneuvering...

what kind of airtest number's you seeing on your unit TEX?:surprised:

I notice the conductance high or low does not harm the depth.. as long as the test target's are the same size no matter the conductivity the depth is pretty close....very likable for relic's check out the depth the plate's bang in at :clapping: Keith

Anyone notice this falsing issue on the AT-PRO

I have noticed it since I pulled it out of the box and put it together,,, not a real problem...But I believe it is the culprit to some of the falsing I get in the wood's when it I touch certain twig's and stick's...Too bad it's falses to the High tone..wish it fasled to the iron tone...

Cheap alternative for headphones on the AT-PRO

The headphone's that come with the AT are very poor for sound reproduction...... So instead of buying adapter's you have a couple of option's.... take the cord off the garrett's and but on a set of your preference Like I did with mine....I build my own headphone's because I have never found a...
