    XP Deus and King George

    I live in the middle of an area known for Civil War history (near Gettysburg). I'm always telling people don't forget or colonial heritage here. Yesterday my XP Deus and I hit a well hunted field and I got a 1740's King George II coin!!!!!

    Tones based on VDI Numbers?

    Maybe I'm being dense but could I change the tones based on VDI numbers? i.e. I would like anything < 50 as a very low tone and >51 quite high.

    What a busted day

    Two of us with Deus' hunted a farm field that was on the retreat from Gettysburg today. We hunted hard for three hours each and got nothing, squat, zip, zilch, zero, etc.

    My Deus headphones gave me a scare!

    Kudos to Detector Electronics Corp

    They are XP Americas. Had a problem with my control unit not recognizing the coil. Sent both to them and in just a few days have everything back and working fine. Good service!

    Deus done died

    Everything is fully charged but control unit reads "no coil". Re-entered the serial number and still can't get it to see the coil. Pretty discouraging for a 6 week old unit .

    Going crazy with rifle shells!

    I have permission to hunt an old army site that was closed by BRAC some years ago. The site has been in use for various things since the early 1800's. The centerpiece is a very large parade ground-gotta be lots of good stuff there! Biggest problem is old brass rifle shells! Zillions of them...

    Frequency vs depth

    Has anyone done any comparison of kHz verses depth? How much depth do we give up by going to a lower frequency. Might be an interesting study.

    Pinpoint question for Deus

    I usually run my Deus pretty hot- over 90 Sensitivity, discrim @ 5.5 and 18kHz. But when in pinpoint the sens. reverts back to the standard 75. Is there a way of making the default pinpoint higher?

    100% Happy with XP Deus

    The more I use & learn the Deus, the better we get. Had a good day today with coins and small Civil War period items. Can't wait for the field crops to be harvested & hunt them.
