    Out back with the Etrac

Received my new Etrac the other day, and took it on its maiden voyage under my clothesline where I have pounded with my Ace. I just wanted to get an idea of what modern clad sounds like lol. Ended up pulling a 1903 LC, an 1867-1927 commerative confederation token and a buckle! Wow, this machine...

    Today's hunt produces old copper

Went out for hunt in the field today and had a great time. Scored a buckle stamped "........... Patent Protean Buckle", a gilt spoon and my oldest coin to date, an 1806 British Penny. It seems to be in good shape, just needs a good soak. Thanks for looking!

    Afternoon relic hunt

Decided to hit the field behind my house for a leisurely relic hunt. Managed a nice old bell, part of a child's toy (in the middle of the field, 8" down) "made in Canada". Also nabbed a money clip...empty or course lol.

Found a gun...and it was loaded!

Went out for a quick hunt today. Scored a mix of Canadian and Wheat pennies (newest 1959, oldest 1941). Also found my first gun. I didn't know what it was until I got it cleaned up. It's an Olympic 38 BBM blank pistol, 8 shot, made in Italy. 6 out of 8 were fired, the other two in the chamber...

    A few Easter weekend finds

Scored a 1946 silver dime and two 1950's pennies in one hole, an old toy train, a 1947 British penny, a pretty cool little sign and an old silver plated hair clip that has seen better days. It was just nice to get out!

    Buckle

Hey folks. I am posting this buckle for a friend. It was found under a solid set of steps on a house that's dates at about 1900. It seems to be brass. Not sure of what it's use was (bridle, coat, belt etc) and also looking for an approximate age. I really appreciate your help! Thank you.

    Short hunt out back

Went for a one hour hunt today and discovered the ground is thawing, but in patches. Got a bunch of solid targets, and in a digable range, but the Raven couldn't break through it. It was hard as a rock!! Moved over 50' and got a nice penny signal. Luckily, the Raven sliced right down to the 6"...

    Great App!

Found this App for super-imposing pictures. What I did was; found an old map of a general area where an old settlement was and took a screen shot of it. Then I took a screen shot of the same general area on google maps, satellite view. Using the App, I super-imposed the google snapshot over the...
