    Any pointers

Wish I had found Tesoros decades ago. Bought the Compadre and Mojave just before they closed. Later found a pristine Bandido two. Though I'm disappointed the big 3×18 CSC won't function on it. Got a nice Super 7 for it though.

    Whites 24k knockoff

LoL. Funny. Actually the # 1 lost item at the beach was always earrings. Some very valuable ones at times. The one thing I rarely find at the beach is earrings. There have to be thousands out there over the last 100 years by now. I rarely hear of anyone finding them around here. I think the...

    Any pointers

Here's a little tid bit to read. If it's a large gold or silver ring it's going to hit hard. Circle any solid signals. Lift the coil a few inches. Does it fade or stay loud. That could be a can. Or the ring is just below the surface. Again Good Luck Where Is The Most Common Place To Lose...

    Any pointers

Your gonna have to learn what it's telling you. Nice thing about old machines. They had more tonality. Put coins , junk and jewelry on the ground. One at a time or at least 18" apart for a clean signal. Notice the tones. Then find a rusty nail place it an inch from your target's. Scan again...

Just curious about what your expectations are when considering to buy a metal detector, from both experienced and who just started detecting.

Oh boy that's for sure. Though if a GPR unit said it was a pile of gold bars like the treasure I'm talking about. I'd rent a track hoe and get busy.

What detector have you Sold that you have Sellers Remorse????

Sad, I feel more like he never connected to the machine or detecting. Since it was free he just tossed it. Or wrapped it around a tree. I've actually seen that.

    More fake rings

Yup. Taking minutes hovering over a target trying to decide to dig or not. You could have just pulled it by then. Nobody wants to leave a target in the ground for some guy to come up behind with say a Tesoro. And find an 18k 20 gram chain because you thought it sounded a bit off. Just dig it...

While they last Sovereign GTs $859.00 each

If they bring back the Sovereign. Water proof/submersible. Light weight. Surface mount technology. Faster recovery speed. While still seeing silver in the null. And as durable as it's always been. The last detector to leave my hands will be my GT.
